Double honours for Essex at 2010 National Probation Awards
The hard work and dedication of two members of Essex Probation has been recognised at this year's National Probation Awards.
Interventions Manager Hayley James (pictured top-left, with Justice Minister Crispin Blunt MP) scooped the 'Most Innovative Project' award for her work to develop and deliver a new programme for prisoners at the Military Corrective Training Centre in Colchester, while Offender Manager Jenni Hogg walked away with the 'Offender Management' prize for her work with difficult offenders.
This is only the second year the awards have taken place, and also the second year that outstanding work by Essex Probation staff has been honoured by the judging panel. Grays-based Offender Manager Steve Knight won the overall 'Probation Champion of the Year' award in 2009.
