CRIME REDUCTION
Reoffending rates for Probation in Essex are some of the lowest in the country, according to national data.
National figures show that, over the last five years, reoffending by those on community sentences has fallen by 13%, whereas reoffending by those sent to prison has stayed the same.
For those serving prison sentences under 12 months, 60% have reoffended within 12 months
For those serving community sentences under 12 months, 38% have reoffended within 12 months.
